Hello there!
Simplifying Tech For Seniors (STFS) was founded by Audrey and Ben, a dedicated brother-and-sister duo who have witnessed firsthand the challenges of teaching technology to loved ones—and learning it themselves.
Audrey used technology like Skype to teach their dad, who lived 580 miles away, how to navigate the world of social media. While Ben assisted their aunt, who lived just 10 miles away, incorporate smart home technology in her daily life. Together, they understand how overwhelming it can be for seniors to navigate new technology and the unique challenges caregivers face when teaching it, whether from near or far.
At STFS, our mission is to make technology accessible, easy to understand, and enjoyable for everyone. Whether you’re a senior looking to stay connected, a caregiver supporting a loved one, or someone completely new to tech, we’re here to guide you every step of the way with patience, compassion, and a touch of humor.
What Drives Us
Our Dad—at least when he’s not out cruising in his red Mustang convertible on the streets of gold 🙂—is 100% the driving force behind everything we do. He continues to inspires our passion for simplifying the way seniors learn technology.
Meet Audrey (#4 out of 6 in the Ross line-up)
Hey there! My name is Audrey and I am a wife, mom, grandma, and teacher at heart. After training residents in assisted living facilities back in early 2000 on how to use computers my love for teaching seniors and baby boomers has only increased.
After helping Seniors and Baby Boomers learn how to use the different social media sites so they could stay connected to their family and friends I figured it was time to show them how to use all this new technology…but in a fun, simplified way.

Meet Ben (#6 out of 6 in the Ross line-up)
Hello! I can’t talk about myself without first mentioning my amazing wife, who also happens to be my best friend, and our three incredible kids, two of which are living their best teenage life (yes, we welcome your prayers 🙂). They are the heart of everything I do, and I couldn’t be prouder of them. Truthfully, without them, I wouldn’t be who I am today.
After retiring from the U.S. Air Force with over two decades of experience working with space systems, I was ready for a new chapter filled with change and fresh challenges. It wasn’t until I helped my aunt figure out how to use her smart TV that I realized just how frustrating technology can be for seniors in a world that often leaves them behind.
That moment sparked something in me and, along with my sister, we launched Simplifying Tech For Seniors (STFS). Together, we’re on a mission to empower seniors and their caregivers to navigate technology with confidence, making it a truly life-changing tool rather than a source of stress.

In Honor of our Dad (Ray Ross)
Our Dad is the reason we jumped in with both feet to help teach Seniors and their Caregivers who are brand new to technology, how to use it so they can benefit from it.
Dad watches our videos, gives us feedback, and is a huge part of why these videos resonate with so many.
As a matter of fact, if you look at our logo, that’s Dad, with his crewcut, glasses, and half smile, he will forever live on in the world of the Internet.
